This anorak parka is based on the anoraks worn by the Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition, but adapted with modern materials. It retains the original details, such as a large hood to protect against wind and rain, a long zipper that covers the mouth, large pockets that are easy to access even with gloves on, and a pattern designed to conform to the wearer's shoulders by cutting the body and sleeves in one piece. Although it may seem like over-engineered at first glance, the use of modern water-repellent TC cloth as the material results in a lightweight finish that is easy to wear in the city.
